Council of Catholic Women Rings of Council

The Grand Island Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is divided into four Deaneries as defined by Diocesan Deaneries for priests. Each Deanery has a board composed of one representative from each parish.

Board of Director members or alternates shall be voting delegates. Deaneries will organize and choose officers (president, vice president, secretary and a treasurer) to serve for a two- year term. Deaneries hold Spring and Fall meetings each year.

At the Parish level, the Parish Representative has the responsibility of working with the Priest and women of  the parish conveying messages from the Diocesan President, Deanery President, Diocesan and Deanery Spiritual Advisors and Commission Chairs.

Each level of Council, starting with NCCW down to PCCW, has Executive Officers as well as the Spirituality, Leadership, and Service Commissions to serve their Councils.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL

O Lord of heavenly wisdom who has given us Your own Mother Mary to be our guide and counselor in this time of our life, grant that in all things we may have the grace to seek her maternal instruction and to profit by it in humility and love.

Oh Mother of Good Counsel, Patroness of the National Council of Catholic Women, help us to understand and fulfill the mind and will of your Divine Son, Jesus Christ.  Under the blessing of the Father and by the Power of the Holy Spirit may we be responsible and intelligent daughters of the Church.  May we labor in the spirit of renewal to realize more perfectly the Kingdom of God here below as the only true preparation for our share in the Kingdom of Heaven.  And may we in all we think or do or say be filled with the same love of god and neighbor that overflows from your own Immaculate Heart.  Amen.
